Callala Soccer has been growing consistently in recent years and our club now has over 200 active players. For the 2007 season the club has one or more teams in almost every age category. At the start of the comp parents and players receive a DRAW for their team from their coach or team manager.
On this page we will keep you informed with updates on cancelled and rescheduled games. You can check your draws and results on the association's website.

Rain often causes a lot of confusion for teams, parents and players. Keep listening to the radio for news about the situation on other fields. Don't call the radio station yourself. Here are a few important things to know.
- Matches are only cancelled if the ground is closed. This depends on the condition of the field, not the prevailing weather. A sign is displayed at our field if our ground is closed.
- No play is allowed if lightning strikes in the area
- Listen to 2ST or PowerFM for ground closures for other games. Do not call them yourselves
- All competition games will be re-scheduled.
- Minis are simply washed out and no catch-up game is necessary.
Running our canteen is a very important aspect of running our club. It is a service to all the people that come to watch and support our teams. But it also gives the club a very important financial backing that we need to support all our other soccer activities. Remember that it is the responsibility of the teams to run the canteen. Each team is allocated a few Saturdays to do canteen duty. Please be aware of your days and have the parents organised to be there.

Are you interested in spending a week away from home, playing soccer against other oldies (over 30’s) and taking in the sights of Adelaide? The Australasian Masters are going to be held in October 2007, with soccer from Mon 8th to Sat 13th Oct (school hols). The focus is not at all competitive, more fun and social!! Many other sports are played in these games as well. I am trying to get say 13 ladies over 30 who think this sounds like great fun so we can register and start looking forward to going! Obviously we will register as social, not elite. The idea would be to drive to Adelaide from Callala on Fri 5th Oct, stay overnight and arrive in time for the opening ceremony on Sat 6th Oct. (2 cars already going). We are looking at accommodation options at present. Approximate costs would be: $900. The last date for registration is 3rd August, but we would like to have a good idea of who wants to come by say end June, so we can start booking accommodation. Please give me a call if you think this sounds like something you would be interested in – Deb 4446 4706. Or 0417 689 306. Any suggestions for cutting costs would be appreciated.
